First edition of “Bike to Close the Gap” event: a success!!!

On September 8^th, hundred persons from diverse IT firms participated to the first edition of the “Bike to Close the Gap” event organised by DNS.be in favour of Close the Gap. Despite the very bad weather, they all hit the roof of the Paterbeg (2.7 km) in Kluisbergen during 2 hours. All together and with the participation of former cyclist Johan Musseeuw and the cyclocross-woman Sanne Kant, more than €36,000 have been collected for Close the Gap. This amazing support will allow the organisation to deploy 300 to 400 computers systems in more or less 20 computer classrooms for third and fourth world countries.

Close the Gap is tremendously thankful to DNS.be – organiser of the event – and also to all the people who participated. A second edition is foreseen for 2012!!
